The dreaded sound of your phone beeping and vibrating as you struggle to open your eyes in a dark room where you just want to roll over and go back to sleep.

So what is the best alarm sound to wake up to?

It can be personally choice, it maybe natural sounds, birds chirping, maybe the sound of a water fall or stream, however what about waking up to light? That is right, no sound, just naturally waking up and feeling energised.

Consider buying a sunrise wake up light, an alarm clock that after a couple of weeks use your body will be set and in a routine of naturally and mentally waking up without sound at all. That’s right, no sound at all!

Benefits of wake up to light?

  • Wake up naturally
  • Wake up feeling energised and a wake
  • No dreaded alarm clock sounds
  • Feel relaxed in the morning

Waking up the light is an amazing way to get up in the morning and will make a huge difference to your morning routine.

The light from a sunrise light mentally increases getting bright and brighter until it is at its max when you wish to get up, e.g when your alarm is set. The light will tell your brain to stop production of melatonin, the sleep hormone, by doing this your body will start to prepare itself to wake and give you that energy it needs to give you that get up and go.

In contrast to sleeping in a  dark room and hearing your alarm go off, be it birds chirping or a beeping sound, your body will still be producing the sleep hormone and therefore is not ready to go, therefore leaving you feeling groggy, tired and uninterested in getting up.

So perhaps the sound isn’t the issue, perhaps you need to change how you wake up completely and purchase a sunrise wake up alarm clock. View our top wake up lights here and wake up feeling refreshed and motivated tomorrow.
